May 10, 2008: Dress up day! Marsi, Jeanne and Jackie presented a program about their ancestors.

 

 





 

 

April 12, 2008: Ken Gammie, Director of Music at Roosevelt Middle School, spoke about "The Importance of Music in Education".

 

 





 

 

March 8, 2008: Adele Lancaster, Marsi Millonzi and Wanda Prosser give a dramatic reading of "Bells of Patriotism: Women of the American Revolution".

 

 





 

 

February 9, 2008: Diana Cook, California State Regent Anne Lampman, and Victoria Nihiser stop for a quick photo. Mrs. Lampman gave a delightful presentation on the wedding of George and Martha Washington.

 

 





 

 

January 12, 2008: Jean Palmer is pictured with the Good Citizen recipients and Regent Victoria Nihiser.

 

 





 

 

December 8, 2007: Carol Grice spoke about "From Military Service to Serving the Military", and received the DAR Community Service Award for her work with the O.I. Pictured are: Victoria Nihiser, Adele Lancaster, Maryanne Hillery, Carol Grice, Al Renterria (founder of the O.I.),Vicki Black and Wanda Prosser.

 

 





 

 

November 13, 2007: Our speaker and actor Tom Wheatly had the title role of the play Our American Cousin. Marsi Millonzi portrayed Sarah Stevens, and Regent Victoria Nihiser played the actress Lori Keene.

 

 





 

 

October 13, 2007: George Key, Great-Great Grandson of Francis Scott Key, shared stories at the October meeting, pictured here with Victoria. Members were asked to wear lots of red, white, and blue and looked very patriotic!

 

 





 

 

September 9, 2007: Pictured in front of her Adobe home, our host and speaker Shelly Hayes are shown with many of our chapter members and their guests.

 

 


 

 

September 2007: Shown are Victoria and Lesley Clifton, a member of the Chapter and Director of Leadership and Development at the Coastal Academy School.  They had a 2 1/2 hour celebration of the Constitution and we passed out Constitution books and Preamble bookmarks. 

 

 





 

 

June 9, 2007: California State Vice Regent Leonora Branca gave us wonderful ideas on how to create our very own butterfly gardens.
